Northeast Ohio Eye Surgeons is proud to be a philanthropic leader in our community. Continuing our series of giving to those in need around our community, we have partnered with Bulldog Bags, Inc. to provide an array of pantry supplies to families in need in the Stow-Munroe Falls area.
Bulldog Bags, Inc. is an all-volunteer-managed, community, non-profit business that was organized to address child food insecurity in the Stow-Munroe Falls City School District (SMFCSD). The organization was started by members of the community who recognized that some children in the SMFCSD did not have adequate meals on the weekend. Through the combined efforts of many in the community, Bulldog Bags, Inc. was incorporated and obtained its 501(c)(3) status in 2015. Seeking to reduce weekend hunger, Bulldog Bags, Inc. provides weekend meals to students on the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program, or otherwise qualified.
Through the collective efforts of the community, this organization has not only grown to be successful, but is flourishing. Since 2015, the organization has added an additional grade to the program each year and currently serves students from Kindergarten to 10th grade. Additionally, a need was recently identified for a summer program to help keep students and their families fed when school is not in session. Bulldog Bags, Inc. expanded its original program to Bulldog Boxes, which provides family sized products throughout the summer months.
It is our belief at Northeast Ohio Eye Surgeons that students should never have to worry if there is enough food to eat in the fridge. This is why we have partnered with Bulldog Bags, Inc. to provide an array of food pantry items to local families in need.
Bulldog Bags, Inc. is very appreciative of Northeast Ohio Surgeons’ commitment to address food insecurity in the Stow-Munroe Falls City School District by donating food and personal care items for Bulldog Bags and Bulldog Boxes. These donations help to keep the cost of the food and personal care items manageable. The support of the organizations and businesses, such as NEOES, in the community is integral to Bulldog Bags, Inc., an all-volunteer organization.”
